Craig Silverstein talks Amanda, Birkhoff, and Percy and The Nikita Michael alliance

Nikita show runner Craig Silverstein has been in a good mood and spilled some Season 2 Intel (premiering Friday, Sept. 23, at 8/7c).
In this upcoming season we will learn more of Amanda’s past. The show runners plan on screening a flashback to when division was created and Amanda’s past will be interwoven into the episode.
Amanda and Michael come face to face (I wonder if there will be any physical fight between the two) but from the previous season the two seem to have had a cordial working relationship. The show runner let spill that Nikita and Amanda have their first conversation in third episode, sort of former master meets former student, though it might not be face to face.
Guess what Fanikitas David Keith is Nikita’s Dad

Well Percy will plan his escape from the mess he has found himself in, and it will be sought of a reversal as he becomes a fugitive as he is putting his ducks in a row.
Birkhoff will get more field time but whether he is willing to help Nikita and Michael or not. Birkhoff almost steals the show in the premiere. Another surprise is that the division computer geek will be in some fight scenes so you wouldn’t want to miss that.
Nikita and Michael will have their own relationship problems when Michael’s former flame Cassandra (Helena Mattsson) from a previous mission is in some sort of trouble.  Craig Silverstein had this to say “Cassandra is someone from Michael’s past — a past mission. We’ve previously seen that Nikita has had to go on what we call “Josephine missions,” where her goal was not to destroy but to seduce, and we’ll find out that sometimes male agents go on those, too. Michael participated in one and engaged a relationship under a cover with Cassandra, who was an asset that he was trying to turn — the trophy wife-first lady of a Belarusian dictator. Division’s plan was to take him down and replace him with a double so that America could control the policy of Belarus — like an evil version of Dave [Laughs] — so Michael had to seduce her. In the present day story, she is put into jeopardy because the double gets out of control and Michael feels so guilty, he has to go out and save her.”
